Why Study English in Bournemouth?

Bournemouth is a town located on the south coast of England, approximately 2 hours from London. It’s best known for its 7-mile beaches and for being the second largest student destination after London. Bournemouth is well served by the rail network with two stations in the town, Bournemouth station and Pokesdown station to the east and operates a Plus Bus combined rail and bus ticketing scheme.
The town center is vibrant and cosmopolitan with good shopping facilities and a growing café culture alongside a compelling nightlife scene. With much of the town center pedestrianized, it is easy to get from one side of town to the other without having to dodge any traffic.
This city has got a myriad of cozy places where you can enjoy your daily meals. From the cheap and cheerful pub grub and fish and chips to European, Oriental and Asian cuisine that can be found throughout the town center. Two places which are worth to be mentioned are for instance: Uruk (for a taste of Arabic and Turkish culture) and Flirt, a homey atmosphere where to enjoy your free time. For those who like a traditional habitat, in Bournemouth, you can find the classical Starbucks store, as well as the stores from the chain Caffe Nero and Costa, which I do really recommend for a good espresso if you are a coffee lover. At night the town comes alive with a vibrant pub and club scene. Bournemouth is one of the most popular clubbing, stags and hens locations in Britain with over 40 nightclub venues.
For some cultural perspective you can go to St. Peter’s Church which is where the famous author Mary Shelly who wrote ‘Frankenstein’ is buried in the churchyard of this church along with the heart of her husband the Romantic poet, Percy Bysshe Shelly.
Bournemouth has a thriving culture buoyed by students at the local College and University, as well as a growing number of professionals relocating here with their companies and adds to that fact that it is one of the UK’s largest center for learning English as a foreign language.
